Head Protection in the Workplace - PPE

Most of our activities take place above ground level. In fact, many occur between 3 and 6 feet above the ground and frequently much higher…This puts the head in the firing line of many potential hazards.

Head hazards in the workplace:

  • Falling objects
  • Slips, trips and falls
  • Protrusions
  • Flying objects
  • Toxic fumes
  • Noise levels
  • Obstructed vision
  • Chemical splashes
  • Inadequate lighting
  • Long hair

Types of head injury:

  • Permanent disfigurement
  • Deafness
  • Blindness
  • Loss of mobility
  • Loss of control of bodily functions
  • Mental retardation
  • Death

Head Protection safety training:

Our main concern in this program will be to look at the hazards which could affect our brain, eyes and ears, and to look at the preventative measures that we should consider when addressing the issue of head safety in the workplace.

The preventative measures that need to be addressed are covered in detail. A head injury could be the first, the worst and last injury you will ever receive.

The program covers head protection in the workplace:

  • Head Hazards
  • Accident Prevention
  • Personal Protection – PPE
